National Medical College was started in the year 2001 by the National Medical College Private Limited. Prof. Dr Jainuddin Ansari acts as the chairman of this institution and aims to make it a center of excellence in future. It is already one of the best medical institutions in the country due to high standards of state of art infrastructure, good and modern equipments and sophisticated technology followed in teaching learning methods. It aims to produce competent and skilled medical professionals to take care of the sick and needy individuals of the country.

National Medical College follows the mission to carry out good research projects to develop drugs and treatments to help diseased population of the country. Improving the health conditions of the people of Nepal with the help of qualified and morally strong doctors is their main goal. National Medical College admission rules are subjected to change according to NMC directives.

National Medical College admission decision depends entirely on the college administration. 50,000 caution deposit is required which is refundable at the end of the courses. Food charges annually is 46,000 and hostel charges with food and electricity is 40,000 annually. MBBS course charges annually is 45,000 and PG course is 46, 250 annually.
